The Old Cheese Factory: Berwick

With its gardens, ponds, bridge and old world buildings, the Old Cheese Factory offers a romantic setting for a lifetime of memories.

At the Old Cheese Factory weddings are held in our wedding garden.  This garden is specifically set up for weddings with ponds, a bridge and cottage gardens carefully maintained and planted to achieve colour all year round.

We also provide a staff member at the entrance of the property to show guests where the ceremony is to take place.

When the Old Cheese Factory gardens are booked for a ceremony a wet weather venue is booked at the same time, so no matter what the weather the ceremony can take place in comfort and tranquillity.  There are several venues available for wet weather ceremonies and someone is always available to show you the various options.  You can then choose the venue you prefer.

Ceremonies can be held indoors no matter what the weather and the gardens are still reserved for your photos. 

We set-up a red carpet down the centre of the room, two stands with candelabras and seating for the guests.  You can organise any extra decorations if you wish.

Photos
The Old Cheese Factory is also available just for photos.  The variety of photo opportunities are endless, with gardens, ponds, historic buildings, a playground, farm equipment and old world fences.  The Old Cheese Factory is an ideal venue for your most precious memories.

Receptions
The Old Cheese Factory is a fully catered site aand our resident caterer can take care of all of your food requirements.  He offers a full range of menus from fingerfood to full silver service, and can tailor a menu to suit your specific needs.

You may choose to supply your own drinks or our caterer can take care of this for you as well.  He can also help you organise any extra decorations you may desire.  Our wedding package includes all our caterers’ menus and we are very happy to send this to you.

Reception Venues
The Chapel: Ideal for receptions of up to 60 guests, this venue includes a stage and wooden floors.

The Reception Centre: Ideal for receptions of up to 110 guests, this venue is fully carpeted with a stage and dance floor.

All venues come complete with either round or trestle tables and chairs.  Our caterer supplies all cloths, crockery and cutlery.

Marquees
Our grounds are large enough for any size marquee, and our caterer can supply marquees and accessories.  The cost of marquees is dependant upon the size and the accessories chosen.
